I am curious as Lucy is 14 months and I have had no hint of my period at all even though I only nurse at night now. If you care to elaborate, how much/little were you nursing when you got your first pp AF. Thanks ladies!

Avi just stopped nursing last Sunday (sadness...) and I had horrific cramps three days later, but nothing yet (not that I would expect it so soon, but I thought I was going to die - I've never felt that bad). We were down to nursing just in the AM for at least a month or so before that, so I think it can take a while...

I voted for SS. I got my 1st PP AF about 4 months PP, but it's because I went on the mini pill. It really messed me up and I ended up getting AF every 2.5 weeks until I went off. I BF until almost 17mos.

I picked 12-15, but it was right at 15 months. I weaned from the pump at 13 months and was still nursing twice a day (morning and before bed) when it finally came back right at 15 months pp.

I voted 3-6 and that's what it was with dc#1. With #2 it was about 8 months.

For both is was when they were consistently sleeping 8-10 hrs at night

got it at 6 months while still EBF. No solid food at that point and no formula.

This. Only I was at 4 months pp. The same time as H started sleeping a 5 hour stretch at night.

Thanks! We are doing great except that Avi is trying to push through 5 teeth all at once. She got three in a week and is working on two more. Apparently someone told her that you need more than 4 teeth as a toddler... Pretty sure the teeth are the cause of the sudden stop in nursing too - for some reason, starting Sunday afternoon, she will only bite, not latch, and I can't get her to open wide/stick out her tongue, etc.

I love all of Miss Lucy's pictures - she looks like such a big kid! Maybe we can get together on your next break.
