I saw your QOTD concerns. I would question your docs again about the OPK's. Just because you are on patches doesnt mean you wont ovulate. LUPRON is the only thing that will prevent ovulation if i am correct??. I would think they would want ot check to see if you are about to ovulate and then check to see if you actually did. The estrogen will make sure your lining looks good. My protocol was as follows
-Day 2 u/s to confirm I have no cysts
-Day 10-start OPK's
-Day11-u/s to see if there is a lead follicle
-Continue OPK's until getting surge
-Go in for u/s day after surge to see if follicle has collapsed and ovuation occured properly
-Transfer embies 4 days after surge.

I don't know why the nurse said we don't advise using OPK's??? Ugh I don't want to be that super physcho patient that thinks they know everything but I don't want another cycle to be a bust. Especially since I'm paying for all these meds. Maybe I should just call and have them have the RE directly call me? The nurse said the estrogen will suppress me? I thought only lupron did that? She said it will be very rare that it would happen that I ovulate on my own with the estrogen she said 1 in 200. Hello I could be that one patient! I only thought the estogen helped with lining as well. Okay I'm off to google estrogen patches and ovualtion suppression wish me luck. Good luck to you too, when are you testing again? When is your beta?
