Clicky poll: Bath time

Re: Clicky poll: Bath time

  • I voted SS, she gets a bath every day as part of her bedtime routine, but we only use soap every other day so her skin doesn't dry out.

This is a great idea!  Mind if I steal it?! ;)  I would love to incorporate it in our nighttime routine and hadn't b/c LO skin is dry.

To answer the original question we are currently every other day.

Steal away!  It works great for us, she loves bath time so it's good time for us to spend together.

  • Once a week b/c the baby seems to hate baths/water. She screams the entire time.

What do you do to make bath time enjoyable? Or did you just get lucky?

  • It's a part of our night time routine.  We also do lotion/baby massage afterwards too.  LO loves getting his feet rubbed :)  My local organic store carries some really good baby butters and lotions so that's what I use.

DD HATED bathtime for the first 3 months. We tried everything from different bath tubs, warmer water, colder water, everything; then one night I was taking a bath and DD seemed very intrigued so I took her in with me. She loved it so we got her the Whale of a Tub which got great reviews from so many bumpies and she loves bath time now. We thought we were doomed, just give it time and keep trying eventually your LO will learn to love bathtime.

  • We bathe DS every night as part of his routine, but we don't use soap every day and we only wash his hair once or twice a week.

  • Every other day really. But DS's legs and arms are really dry. So I may still a PP's bath time idea of using soap every other bath.
