Does anyone know of a place that offers this service? I am struggling because most places only want people who will make a part time commitment. Grandma's Place used to offer this and I was happy with them, but they stopped offering drop off care.
I have been going to We Village, but I'm really not happy with the service. (Last time I dropped my son off the owner's dog took his sandwich out of his hand and ate it. Gross! Also they play the tv a lot and the selections aren't age appropriate; my son was scared by The Pink Panther Movie.)
Anyone know of any other places? I only need something a few times a month for a couple hours at a time.
Re: Drop off childcare?
Have you checked out Kids Klubhouse?

Thanks! Were you at the zoo last Friday? I think I saw you leaving as I was heading in.
I'll look into it, thanks.
Yes I was!! And BRRR it was cold that day! Next time please say hi : ) And congrats on the baby!
Someone told me that the OHSU child care (open the public) at South Waterfront does drop in. I haven't confirmed, though.
You could try posting on craigslist or urbanmamas.
Good to know about We Village. Your experience is pretty appaling considering their rates.
If you find something, could you report back? I'd love to know a drop-in place.
You could think about this place: https://almosthomepdx.com/
We looked at it. It's not drop-in, but it's flexible.
I'm in the middle of looking for daycare myself. I did find a few flex-time drop off places in Lake Oswego. If you only need it for a few days, then the trip out there from Portland might not be too bad.
