Massage while TTC/during 2WW?

I really want to get a swedish massage in the next week. Problem is, this is when DH and I will start TTC and I've heard mixed reports on the effects of massage on conception. Stuff about toxins being released that aren't good.- then I also hear it's fine. Is there any truth to that? Thoughts please?

You'll be fine. The massage I would stay away from due to releasing toxins is deep tissue. Also, just relax and try not to analyze everything you do as it would affect your TTC experience.

I have heard that you should avoid it during the first trimester,because of toxins released and the increased risk of miscarriage. Also, my spa does not do massages during the first trimester or if there is a chance you may be pregnant. That being said, many people do get them, and some spas offer them. I think its a judgement call on your part and your spa's. Personally, once I"m pregnant, I'm going to wait until the second trimester. For now, I will get them after CD one, but not after O'ing and before AF.

I think if it helps you relax go for it. I havent heard anything bad about getting a massage while ttc... and the less stressed out you are the better you will feel and the more likely for a BFP! I hoping DH gets me a gift card to the spa for Vday
