The cotton in the bedding is grown without the use of pesticides. Also, they are free of PVC, pthalates, harmful chemicals (such as flame retardants), etc.
One precaution to take before buying though: a lot of companies advertise as "organic" but really aren't, you really have to do your research to see if their products contain the above chemicals. As far as I know there are not set standards for organic bedding as there are with foods, so companies may be free to use the term loosely.
