so i posted on FB to have people give me their opinions on Reid Harrison or Reid Patrick. I really dont care what they say or if they hate them both, i was just looking for something to do really...but most people gave their opinions then came my mother. She said something like, "well, if thats the only two we have to choose from then Harrison...ewwwww, not patrick." I just found it hilarious that most people that are just our friends simply gave their answer but my own mother had to make her snide comments, like she does about everything.

I hate how people feel the need to be so rude. We were going to use Reid but our last name is only 1 syllable and they didn't sound great together so it will be his middle name.

I think when you put something like that on an open forum you have to expect snide comments. I also feel like friends don't always give the honest opinion because they don't want to be harsh or mean but mothers on the other hand tend to not really care.

I ahven't read the original post but FWIW, I love Reid ( and it's MH's grandma's maiden name; if we weren't using james for my late father, I"d be pushing for Reid!).

I love Reid Patrick but Reid harrison is nice, too.

I think parents are pretty critical of their grandchildrens names...mine were at least.

If you love the names, thats what matters. They will get used to it.
