  hi!  i soooooo feel your pain on this one!!!  poor girl!  i finished up my injections about a week ago and had the same thing!  the ob told me to use topical benadryl and cortisone.  i used both but honestly, they didn't really help.  the only thing that helped was stopping them which was approved by my ob.

  for my 1st pregnancy i started using the pio that was mixed in peanut oil but had a reaction to that.  they switched me to pio in safflower oil which worked out better that time.  THIS time i had the reaction with the safflower oil though.  weird. 

  it was helpful to warm the oil in my pocket for about 30 minutes prior to injecting and then to rub the injection site for a few minutes after injecting.  it lessened those hard areas of oil under the skin.

  You could be allergic to the oil. Normally they give everyone PIO in sesame, it's the cheapest. try switching.
