DS Sticks hands down PJ's and Wets bed HELP!

DS is currently 2 & 1/2 year old.

About the time DD was born (10 weeks ago DS) started sticking his hands down his pants & diaper to play with his little man parts...

During the day this is not an issue he has finally stopped walking around like this.

However at nighttime this is a big issue. He points his penis upward and wets the bed.

We have tried putting onsies on him and this stopped problem for a week...We also putting him in one piece pajama and this worked for a few weeks.

Now he has figured out that he can unzip the one piece PJs and stick his hands in his diaper. He wet the bed so bad last night that a book he sleeps with had to be tossed out.

Any ideas on how to make him stop doing this?

I cannot be changing the sheets in his bed 2 times a night 7 days a week.

HELP!

  • hmm.. Double diaper him?  (one regular and one backward) Use a onesie AND zip up PJs? I've heard of putting zip up pjs on backwards too, but that seems like it would be uncomfortable.

  • I'm sorry!  My little guy is very much into his 'little guy' these days, too.  He sleeps in a pull-up, and we've had the same issue, but it's not every night thank goodness! I like Melissa's idea of a double diaper, but I still think he'd figure out how to get his hand down there!  I almost think putting him in zippered PJs that are a size too big would be a better option.  That way they aren't too snug and will be a little more comfortable.

    Potty Train?

Gavin's potty trained, but still doesn't consistently make it through the night dry.

  • I have heard of doing the 1 piece zip up footed pjs backward as well.  I am assuming you just cut off the footie part and have them wear socks?  My coworker had to do this bc her daughter was pooping in the crib, taking off the diaper and getting poop everywhere.  yuck.

  • Just thought of something - you could do the sleep sack (they have ones with the holes for the feet for big kids) and put that on backwards.  That way no cutting :)
