Question of the day:
How long do you think you would/will go through IF treatments for more children?
This FET coming up will be our last shot at anymore children. Dh would be completly fine with being one and done. I would like another but would get over it eventually-after some counceling.
We only have 2 frozen embies left, I don't think we have much chance at all at it happening without IF treatments. I don't have it in me to do anymore fresh IVF cycles and my IF insurance coverage is dwidling down fast!
desabean-looks like our ET's might be the same week!
courted-good luck getting to the RE.
All you ladies trying on your own hope you get some surprise BFP's ![]()

My Blog
hey!
Can you add me to the list? Im currently in my natural FET 2ww. ugh!
Question of the day:
I have no idea when my end point will be. I feel like we will go in phases. I think i have atleast 3 more attempts in me (either fresh or frozen)...although with each BFN I get more and more broken down and depressed about it. Then we will likely move to donor sperm. I havent even wrapped my head around that phase of the process yet though. Its hard because we clearly have severe MFI, but now we have elevated FSH issues on my part too. So I wonder if I would ever have to consider a donor egg as well. I have an identical twin who would likely be willing to give me her eggs, but that is not until she has had children of her own....
Our beautiful son was born July 2008.
2010: 2 IVF's,1 FET = 2 BFN's, 1 c/p
Feb 2011-Unmedicated FET= BFP!! DS #2 born Oct 2011!!.
Because we're fancy like that.
You can add me!
Just got my beta results this morning and my ectopic is finally resolved. (all on it's own. no shot or surgery)
next cycle we will try low dose injectable and iui. CD1 should be around February 18th. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Good luck everyone!
Question of the day:
How long do you think you would/will go through IF treatments for more children?
I really want at least one (really 2) more kids. We are 100% oop but I have to say we will at least some up with the money for 2 more fresh cycles. I hope so bad we can at the least get some embies to freeze. If we have frozen embies we will do a bunch of FETs to get 2 more kiddos.
First I have to day that I love that you post this checkin frequently. Sometimes it feels like I am the only one on here who can't get PG again or who isn't expecting again.... So thanks, for supplying the support! :
How long do you think you would/will go through IF treatments for more children? Like your DH, mine would be fine to be one and done (although he has 3 grown children as well). Funny thing is that one and done was the plan, and then when Nico was 6 mo old he brought up the possibility of #2. I brought this subject up in an indirect way with DH just yesterday (he hates talking about IF- he says it makes him feel guilty) and we agreed that we will do another couple IUIs and then go back to IVF.
If we go back to IVF then we willhave some major choices to make. After 3 IVF cycles, we have NEVER had any to freeze, we are completely OOP. So we have to decide to stay with our current RE, who is great, but yet I think it is strange that we have never had any to freeze (he is picky-embies have to make it to day 6) at about $13,000 per cycle or maybe look at going somewhere who has package deals for multiple IVFs (out of state in OK maybe). With our history in the last year, I am also pondering whether we would lean towards transferring 2 or 3. I hope we don't even have to go there....but at least Dh is willing to go there.
Sorry! I know that was WAY more information than you asked for, but I needed to get all this off my chest and like I said, DH doesn't like to talk about this.
After 21 cycles, and severe MFI, we finally did it with IVF #1 w/ICSI! Nico arrived 12/3/08!!!
TTC for #2: IVF w/ICSI #2-4/17/10-BFN; IVF w/ICSI #3; 7/4/10-BFP!!! Beta #1- 96; Beta #2-528; Beta #3- 7371; 6w,5d-blited ovum=D&C
IUI #2 1/10/11-BFN; IUI #3 2/18/11-BFN
IVF #4 w/ICSI & PICSI ER 5/13/11, ET 5/1/118-BFP!! Natalee arrived on 1/23/12!!!!

Oh, I haven't seen this. Please add me to the list. We haven't been "avoiding" since Henry was born, but I think we put the "trying" hat back on 5 or 6 months ago. We've just been trying on our own; I've used a few OPK's, but that is about it. I've been back to the RE for a consult and he suggested doing a fresh IVF cycle, so that is what we are gearing up for. I think I'm going to need to get my gallbladder out first though. I had an US of my abdomen a week ago (because I had GB problems with my pregnancy and afterwards) and I've got an appointment with a general surgeon next week. My OB suggested a month of recovery before getting PG, so I'm hoping that the doc can cut out my GB sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, my RE had me re-do all my bloodwork and I'm going in for a mock trasfer, US, and I think a HSG next week.
QOTD: How long do you think you would/will go through IF treatments for more children?
I'm not sure on this one... We've always talked about having 2-4 children, but IF has put a damper an that. We do have some insurance coverage left, so that takes that worry out of the equasion for the time being. I think I have at least one fresh IVF cycle in me, maybe two, but after that I don't know. After 3 fresh IVFs and only one "okay" quality snowbaby, I'm not holding my breath that we'd ever be able to do a FET.
