So my baby shower is in 3 days and I've been registered at Target for about 3 weeks now. I haven't been looking online at what has been purchased, but tonight I decided to cheat and take a peek. And it seems that a couple important items that I originally had on my registry are missing (purchased & unpurchased items remain on the list). I'm guessing the system accidentally deleted them or something screwed up when I deleted other items on the scanner while I was registering. It's the diaper pail & the manual breast pump that are missing.. both important items that are around $35-40. Should I go ahead and add these items back onto my registry (I can add them online)? I just hope guests haven't already purchased the missing items off my registry & then the items got deleted. Then I might get two of the same thing if I add them back on. What would you do?
Re: Target registry problem.. What would you do?
This exactly. Target is super nice about registry returns as it is in my experience, so dont worry about duplicates.
By the way, the item does not fall off the registry when it is purchased, it just shows as purchased, to prevent duplicates.

This is why I refused to register at target for baby- we had the same problem for our wedding registry.
Items would magically disappear AFTER they were purchased, so we couldn't return the duplicates. We went around and around with 'customer service', who claimed that they had no record of the item at all.
Maybe it is different with other Targets but all you technically had to do is add them yourself, print off your registry log, and then return it.
I had some things that I was given that were never on my registry and I just added them myself, changed them to purchased, and returned them. It was a nice way to get around not having a return receipt.
