We all love our babies, of course. But some of us tried for our LO and others were...surprised. Just curious how this board falls.

Note: I am not calling any baby an accident or a mistake. It's just that some were unintended or surprises.

best oops we ever had.

it was kinda both, she was an opps as we hadnt planned to have her so soon. and also not preventing because my Husband was told by a fertility doctor when he was in a previous relationship he wouldnt be able to have anymore kids (they tried for 6 years)

Completely planned. I had a m/c right before and that was also a planned pregnancy. If we pass each other in the hall too close we get pregnant, so we use b/c until we are 100% ready for #2. My sister and my mom were the same way with their kids.

Planned. We tried for 18 months, including fertility treatments and major surgery on me just to get pregnant. I can tell you exactly what day (and time of day) we conceieved.

Taiden was a not planned, but when we chose to have unprotected sex I told him if we do this I KNOW we're gonna get preggo. So we REALLY knew what we were doing. Khari was totally planned.

Well, DH & I decided we?d start TRYING thinking it would take a few cycles to get pregnant. 3 weeks later we got our BFP! Totally surprised!

DD was a little of all 3, but I picked the middle option.

Kind of - We had stopped using b/c about a month before my mom passed, but weren't "actively" trying.

Surprise - About a week after mom's memorial service (which was a little more than a month after she passed) I told DH that I wanted some time to deal with those emotions before I entered the realm of pregnancy hormones and all that those bring. A week later we found out I was already pregnant.

Planned - Evidently, my mom decided to give herself one last birthday present, DD was conceived on what would've been the weekend of my mom's 55th birthday (which was the week before the service), so while not exactly planned by us, she was definitely in someone's plan.
