Cloth Diapering

Those of you who have also used sposies

DD and I are currently out-of-town and, therefore, using sposies (Huggies Naturals). We use CDs at home. Weeeeell, her butt has never looked so good. Her skin is extra-soft and milky. I am going to have a bit of a hard time putting her back in her CD's. Don't get me wrong, her skin never really looked bad, but it looks much healthier now. I hate the idea of using sposies, because they are so wasteful and expensive. Ugh...what the heck should I do? DH has not been with us this week, and therefore, has not seen her butt. I haven't mentioned it to him. I am asking a board of CD users for help b/c I want to find a way to use my CDs... but I want DD's skin to stay this nice.

FWIW- I change her at least every 2 hrs. We use RARs, BG's, Happy Heiny's, GroVia, Hemp Prefolds, Thirsties fitteds, and a couple of other random brands. I do not use powder and rarely use some diaper cream- tillvee brand.

  • Maybe you have detergent build up on your diapers, or maybe she is sensitive to what you use?  I would try stripping, and then switching detergents to see if maybe that would help.

  • Or try fleece liners for those diapers you use that aren't stay-dry.

This!   We recently switched and I found that I am only happy with stay dry diapers after using disposables.  Also make sure your baby gets plenty of fresh air down there!
