Hearing your "success" stories about prostate cancer really make me feel better. And thank you for the resource epphd, I will definitely check it out. I really appreciate everyone's positive thoughts, it means a lot to me to have such positive energy in our "corner".
Thanks!
Re: Thanks Ladies!!
Just getting caught up, but I am sorry to hear about your dad's prostate cancer. My FIL had it almost 2 years ago and I definitely recommend getting at least a 2nd opinion. FIl got so much conflicting medical advice, he ended up at a leading cancer hospital and they opted to treat with aggressive radiation. He is cancer free and his PSA was this week and his levels were great! I know there is a push for watchful waiting right now, but my FIL's was pretty aggressive so that was not an option.
The docs at Hopkins Brady Urological Institute are leaders in the field, I urge you to give them a call and set up a consult! Good luck!!
I missed your post last night but wanted to add my prayers and positive energy.
And another success story -- FIL beat prostate cancer a couple years ago with radiation treatment using little pellets.
I will pray that it hasn't spread at all. If it is contained to the prostate I think it will be very curable!!
Hang in there sweetie!!!
I'm just catching up as well, so I ditto this. I recall my grandpa peeing out one of the "bee bee's" he called them. Said the toilet glowed, lol.
my thoughts are with him and your family!
