Babies: 0 - 3 Months

? from 3rd tri'er on baby carriers

Do any of you have an ergo?  What type of ergo?  do you like it?  If you're a second time mom, did you use the ergo before?  If you didn't, why did you switch?

I had a baby bjorn last time and I wasn't a fan.  Since I'm planning to "wear" this baby more, since I need my hands for my 3yo...I need to get something better.  I was leaning towards an ergo.  TIA!

  • I have an Ergo performance. We love it. I swear there is like some magic potion in it because LO falls asleep as soon as I put him in there! I do have the infant insert as well and am still using it.

I have a bjorn and used it once or twice and it hurt my back. I like the Ergo much, much better.

  • I had a bjorn last time as well and I liked it but not for a bigger baby.  I felt like it wasn't supportive enough.  I bought an Ergo this time around and love it!

  • I have the original Ergo. We didn't have one with DD1. We got one this time because we planned on wearing DD2 more and the Ergo is one that DH said he would use. we really like it but we have a Babyhawk too and I love that one.

  • Hello, love!  We have the regular Ergo with the newborn insert.  DD LOVES it.  For a few days it was the only way to get her to stop fussing and sleep.

Did you use the Heart 2 Heart insert at all? I bought the sport and felt that the material wasn't rigid enough, like there was too much slack even with the straps tightened.

Yeah, we have the H2H insert. We got it Christmas when DS was 2 months old. I'm still using it. DS is about 14 pounds and has good head control, but I still think he needs the insert to prop him up higher. Plus he falls asleep in it so much that I think he needs more head support than just the sleeping hood.
