Just finished Lost. My head hurts.

So, I think I "get" it, but I'm not sure I like it. I'm still mulling it over.

Re: Just finished Lost. My head hurts.

  • DH and I are massive, massive LOST dorks. Seriously obsessed with that show. We had a viewing party for the finale, and I hated it. Then, we re-watched it the next night and I loved it. Still do. I think they ended it very well - and I LOVED how the final scene paralleled the very first one (perfect for us LOST geeks who have watched the 1st episode multiple times)  When Vincent came and lay down next to Jack.....makes my heart hurt :(

  • I agree you do have to watch it a couple times. But my head did hurt the first time!

  • I'm a total "Lostie" too.  Let it sink in, then rewatch the last season.  It's amazing how much you pick up on the second time around.
  • I don't know, I'm still absorbing. Part of me feels sort of cheated by the flash-sideways, like they spent half the season developing a plot line that ultimately had nothing to do with the mysteries of the island or answering any of the questions that were brought up in the previous 5 years, you know? And yes, the final scene was very poetic.
  • The only think I really disliked about the finale was that Sayid and Shannon were together. Hello, Nadya????  I don't think their rendezvous in the love tent in Season 2 was enough to make her the most meaningful love of his life (yeah, there is the argument about how her love changed him yada yada yada - I don't buy it). PLus, Walt wasn't there. Obviously they couldn't pull that off with casting and I guess you can explain it by MIchael not being there, but still...

  • I cried when Jack saw his Dad at the end and his Dad explained to him what was happening.  I still think it ended beautifully.

  • Oh gosh, I thought I cried at the time b/c I was pregnant but now thinking about it, I am getting all misty.

I LOVED loved loved the ending.  LOVEDDDDDD it.

  • Just a lurker- but I had to post! I never watched Lost until last January. They started running all the commericals for the final season and it looked so good. I began renting/hulu-ing every episode. I was watching like 3-4 episodes a night to catch up on time!

The ending was amazing. I just watched it again in December when I had the flu and bawled my eyes out again. I think they ended it the best way possible and I'm so sad it's over. I felt like I knew those people. And since I was watching it nonstop to catch up, they were all I thought about for over a month!

The ending tied in with the very beginning. It was perfect.

I have to agree with you.  I adore Naveen Andrews, but Shannon's character drove me crazy, so I was a little grumbly that they were together.  But I cried my eyes out when Charlie and Claire were together again.

  • I've watched every episode...except for the last two.  After all of the drama surrounding the finale, I was so worried that I'd be disappointed that I never watched it!
