4 1/2 weeks preggers and no symptoms, anyone else in this boat?

Hey

I'm 4.5 weeks pregnant with my first child...i really dont have any symptoms besides a little more tired than usual and some diarreah (sorry TMI)...anyone else around the same time as me and not having any symptoms? Or what are you symptoms at 4-5 weeks pregnant? Would love to know

Re: 4 1/2 weeks preggers and no symptoms, anyone else in this boat?

  • YES!  I was looking on message boards here to see if one of the subject line touched on this topic because I am so worried!  I am 4 weeks.  My boobs are sore and I am a little tired, but I really feel great all around.  I looked at my husband today and go, "I don't feel pregnant".  This is my first too, and I am not sure what exactly I think I should be feeling, but I am terrified the baby has stopped growing.  I know it sounds crazy, but I want to feel SOMETHING.  Glad to know I am not the only one!

Just because something is suffering from insane m/s at 4.5w, doesn't mean you will or should.

  • I didn't have a single pregnancy symptom until 6.5 weeks. No sore breasts, no fatigue, no nausea, NADA. Nothing to indicate that I was pregnant other than 2 positive HPTs.

Just keep in mind that symptoms don't necessarily mean healthy pregnancy. Plenty of women go through the whole 1st tri without a single symptom. Others, sadly, experience every symptom in the book and may still have an unhapy ending. I know it's hard, but just try to enjoy these days of FEELING GOOD! :)

  • I'm about 4.5 weeks along, and other than being absolutely exhausted to the point where I actually annoy myself, I don't really have that many symptoms.  My boobs aren't even that sore, especially in the mornings.  They tend to get worse at night.

With my first pregnancy, I was definitely not this tired but my boobs were extremely sore, which was my first clue that I was pregnant.  I didn't even take a pregnancy test until I was 5 weeks along, so I know I didn't have many symptoms.

However, all-day nausea started around 6 weeks and didn't go away until 16 weeks.  I am praying that I avoid that this time.  It's very early for really obvious symptoms.  I think they pick up around 6/7 weeks along.  Try not to worry.

  • I would say just wait as well, my first symptom was everything was STINKY... which happened prior to missed period.. Symptoms started to develop for me around 6-7 weeks & have not left since :) Everyone experiences it differently, don't worry! You will look back & laugh the first time you walk past someone eating a BLT & have to start running for the bathrooms! Now i just chalk up every little thing to a pregnancy symptom. Nose is stuffy? "I'm pregnant". Ring is really tight? "Preggo!"

  • I am 5 weeks and 1 day and I really haven't had any symptoms yet either.  Boobs are not sore, not overly tired, no morning sickness, etc.  I have notice slight bloating when I am finished eating and also peeing a lot!

  • I am 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and haven't had any morning sickness either.  The only symptoms I have are sore breasts and some back pain.  I guess I thought that I would 'feel' pregnant right away.

  • Don't worry.  You are still so early that you probably still have a few weeks before it sets in.  Who knows maybe you will be one of those lucky few that get no symptoms.

  • No symptoms here. No sore boobs, no frequent pee'ing, no m/s, no sensitive smells, NOTHING.

  • When I was 4 weeks pregnant I felt awesome!! In fact, I was so sure that I wouldn't feel sick at all, that when week 6 came around I cried, lol. I got so ill..I am just now having better days at 8.5 weeks pregnant.

This is me to a tee.

  • 5 1/2 weeks... i didn't think that I had any symptoms until I thought about the sore breasts, the constant peeing, the upset stomach ( not typical nausea or vomiting ), and the missed period. These are little things that are easily overlooked, but are just as important as the traditional symptoms.

My issue is with the horrible guilt-gut. I wish that I hadn't found out about the pregnancy for another couple of weeks. Keeping a secret like this is so difficult - being my first - I want to be sure that I'm in the clear before I tell everyone, even my family. Is that weird?

  • I felt the same way at that time. My boobs were sore, but they get that way when I have my period, and other than that, I had no other symptoms.

The "morning sickness" hit me hard at 7 weeks, and since then the symptoms come and go, sometimes weekly. It's a little scary when they go, but so far, they've always come back.

  • my OB and everything else I'm reading says that most symptoms don't really kick in until around 6 weeks.

  • Yes, I had no symptoms until 5 weeks. I was worried because I heard that with twins the nausea should be bad. Then a week of mild nausea, then BOOM! All-out misery. You might think they are reassuring . . . a guess a little nausea is . . . but I'm telling you I was a llot happier before the symptoms kicked in!!!
