    Single Mother by Choice. Life didn't work out the way I planned so I did it on my own. IUI #s 1-3, unmedicated = BFN, IUI #s 4-6, 50mg Clomid, Ovidrel = BFN IVF #1: 23R, 20M, 17F. 5 day transfer 2 blasts. 2 Snowbabies BFP 6dp5dt, Beta #1 7dp5dt = 58, Beta #2 9dp5dt = 114, Beta #3 10dp5dt = 187 1st Ultrasound = 5/3, not much to see yet. 2nd Ultrasound = 5/17, TWINS!!! Hospital Bed Rest at 32 weeks due to pre-ecclampsia and severe edema. Audrey Grace, 5lbs9oz, & Lydia Louise, 6lbs, born via emergency c-section on 12/6/12 at 36w1d My IVF Journey

    Clarence & Hazel (I know it's gotten more popular recently but I detest it) are the only ones that make me cringe.  The rest are just standard older/traditonal names (Mary, Dorothy, Helen, Catherine, Russell, George, John)

    I love the name Hazel.

    We also don't have anything too out of the ordinary.  Rapp and Lagger are the only stand outs.

    Although I like some of these names it's the spelling that gets me. My sister named her 4 kids

    Bronwyn

    Brycesyn (it wouldn't be so bad if she spelled it normal)

    Aurynn

    Aspynn

    But, I am not into super normal names either since my son is named Silas.

    I remember cringing when i was looking at the family tree my grandma had made up, and if I would've known i had a great-great-great aunt named Ella, I would've chose that instead of Bella for DD (they were contenders)

    One bad name I remember was Maude. Ew.

    There were others but I blocked them out lol

    my husbands name is Harold Lester (middle name lester), no lie! he is the IV, so he is the 4th person in his family to have this name, the poor guys!

    My grandfater's name was Gaylord Lynn.  He used to tell us grandkids he would pay us $1,000.00  to name our first son that name.  First of all I would need WAY more than that to name my son Gaylord Lynn....and sorry grandpa 4 great-granddaughters in the family....no boys in sight!

    The only truly terrible name that comes to mind is my cousin's daughter, Azriel.

    Some people think my sister and great-grandmother share an awful name, Arah, but I think it's pretty. My great-grandmother hated the name so much, she went by her MN---Alberta. Hmm

    The only bad ones that I really don't like in our family are my paternal grandparents- Gertrude and Cletus. They named my dad Michael... not surprisingly :) 

    We have others that are really dated (Chester, Estelle...) but that I don't think are horrible at all, just nms.
