Pregnant after a Loss

::Butting in from TCAAL::

Have any of you ladies used the Clearblue Easy Fertility monitor? If so, do you recommend it, or do you feel OPKs/temping is just as helpful.  Curious as to your opinions, my O time seems to be a little wonky.

Thanks!

Re: ::Butting in from TCAAL::

  • I never used the monitor but I used OPK's and temped.  I really didn't use OPK's that often, I relied on temping, as my chart was pretty clear.  How long have you been charting?  Are you sure you're Oing?

  • Nope, not at all, I just started temping this cycle to see if I can confirm ovulation (chart in my siggy).  It's only my second normal cycle after m/c so I'm trying to be patient but.....well you know how that goes. ;)

  • I only used OPKs and temping.  I did have to use OPKs twice each day during my testing window because I had a very short peak time.  There were a couple of months when I would get a postive in the morning/early afternoon and a negative at night.  If I only tested after work I would have missed my peak.
  • I absolutely loved my CBEFM. It was waaaaaay better for me than using OPKs. You still need to do your temping just as you would normally do, but the machine was much better at interpreting my signals than those stupid OPKs ever were. I would highly recommend!

  • I used the CBEFM and got pregnant on my first cycle trying after my loss. Yes, I definitely recommend it, it was worth the money since we didn't want to wait too long to conceive.

  • I did OPKs/temping and found that worked for me. My O date did move around a bit, but I just started using OPKs on CD10 and I always got my OPK+. GL!

  • I used a cbefm and loved it, the first month I used it I got pg (whether it was due to that I don't know) Unfortunately I lost that pg also.  BUT, I was waging a battle so I was using OPK's, a cbefm, and finally started charting Stick out tongue

    I just passed my cbefm on to another TTCAL'er to try out for a few months to see if she likes it or not.  I got mine off of ebay.

    GL!

  • I used the CBEFM, OPKs and temping. I wanted to cover ALL bases here!

    The CBEFM is costly, but it does help you start knowing when to FWP more often.

  • I just used OPK's and found I had to test twice a day.  ALSO, I O'd 2 days BEFORE they suggest you start testing, which means I could have missed it every time if I followed the instructions.  Thank God for my impatience!  My recommendation would be to start testing 2 days after your period ends.  I got my OPK's from early-pregnancy-tests.com, they're like a dollar a piece.
