Cloth Diapering

Um, this might be sacrilege but ...

... my CD addiction has disappeared!  Maybe it's having two in CDs, or maybe its because they are both in pockets now and I think pockets are kind of boring.  Or because I have to wash diapers every single day even though I have enough to go two days.  At any rate, my PP account is being built up through my sales of unused diapers and I have no desire to spend it on new diapers.

I'm a little sad about the whole thing, but I guess my credit card bill is happy ...

  • Could you wash every other day and just split it into 2 loads? That's what I plan on doing if we eventually have 2 in CDs. Laundry every day sounds daunting.

And I have to agree, pockets can be kind of boring. Fitteds are so much more fun! My CD addiction didn't get too bad until I discovered the fitted love. lol

  • In the beginning I bought diapers like no other .. I had WAY too many fitteds .. Then one day I just decided to sell them all off and buy all BG Organics and 4.0's and my bank account has never been happier lol

I've thought about it but it just works better for us this way.  I love fitteds too, but they no longer work for either of my kiddos.  DD1 gets rashy when exposed to wetness (and the fleece liner only covers so much of the diaper) and DD2 cries when she feels at all wet.  I have a few fitteds that I'm going to hold on to in case things change in the future, but they haven't seen any love in awhile :(

  • Honestly I found when I first started, I was constantly buying.  Then it just sorta faded.  Occasionally I get the buying bug again and think I want to try something new, but it is very short lived and easily controlled, so I actually don't buy anything.  After 2 years of part-time CDing it just diapering for me.  I don't need to try something new if things are working.
