Babies on the Brain

Sorry you're having such bad heartburn. I had an ulcer a few years ago and they recommended foods such as pbj, bread/crackers of any sort, plain pasta (or with a little butter), grapes, apples, gingerale and ice cream. Also a glass of milk helps a lot since it's a base. I hope you get some relief soon!

Definitely take doodle's advice and avoid tomatoes, they will kick it up for sure. Also, veggies in general tend to trigger reflux (salads, etc) while carbs will help keep it lower. Eating every 2-3 hours really helped me at the time so you may want to try that.

  • Thanks, I appreciate all the advice.  Next dr's appointment I might ask him to prescribe something if it doesn't get better.

  • I definitely would - one of my coworkers had the same problem throughout her pregnancy and she got her doctor to prescribe something and it worked wonders. She said it really helped with the nausea too. GL!
