When is your shower?

I feel like everyone is having showers waaay before me. What is the date(s) for your shower?

Someone at work has asked about doing one there in March or April, but my big one won't be until early May probably. I'm due late May, so I figure that will be ok. (My mom and sister are throwing it and have to travel here)

So, let me have it. When's your shower?

My mom is throwing mine on March 5th. One of my girlfriends/co-workers is throwing one for me too, but I don't know when.

I had one for work a week and a half ago. It was so early because I stopped working at the start of the year. I'll have two other showers in March (one back home and one here where I live). The people hosting planned them for earlier since I'm at risk for bedrest at the end.

It seems so silly to me to have 3 showers but people keep insisting and I just can't get out of it.

mine is March 12th. I live in AZ but am from CA so i am traveling to my own shower. My dr doesnt recommend traveling after 32 weeks so that is why mine is in March. My friend and my husband are throwing me a small shower/ party sometime in April.

I am having one in my hometown on March 12th. It's the last weekend I can fly.

My MIL and friends are having one down here in April.

I would like to have it earlier because I want to have time to wash everything, unpack, set up..etc. about 3 weeks before she's due, just incase I go early.

It's a couple hours from my house, so I don't want to travel when I'm so close to birth. Plus I want time to buy anything my guests miss Smile You're not travelling, I see nothing wrong with early May

March 26th. my C/S is May 9th. We are not having it in April because it is my LO's 2nd bday and my nephews exactly 2 weeks apart so it was just too much to put into April for me that close to my due date.

Mine will be Feb 26, but I have to fly back home for it. My MW doesn't want me to fly past 30 weeks, so I have to do it a little early.

I think the one in my hometown is between March 19-26 and then the one here for friends and coworkers is going to be the first weekend in april... im due the frist part of may

I don't want it to be too early because I'm planning to move within the next 2 months so I won't have space to store everything that I'll receive.

My shower is March 27 with all my family and friends. Then, my coworkers will throw me a pot luck shower at work April 12. I am due May 16. I can't imagine having it any later...i will have to buy items after my shower that I did not receive.

I'm having a small shower here where I live with my small group of friends and girls from Sunday school. My Mom is flying in from out-of-state as well and we wanted to tie it in with the weekend of DD's 4th birthday party. The shower is on March 6th and will be my only shower with about 15+ guests.
When I was PG with DD I had a huge shower in my hometown (in Texas) around 30-ish weeks and then a 'smaller' shower here where we live at around 33-35wks.

I am having on down where I grew up with my mom and family Feb. 26th. and then my bigger main shower on March 12th. I am due May 12th and did not want to do it too late because I want to have time to put everything together and go and get everything together that we do not get for the shower. Also with Easter and Spring breaks a lot of people are busy in April so March it was. My DH and I also work every other weekend so that also made it limited. I like that I will not be HUGE and uncomfortable for my shower though. I am a planner and I hate doing things last minute. I girl at works shower was planned for 3 weeks before her due date and she had the baby 2 days before her own shower. They had to cancel the whole thing. I did not want that to happen to me.

APRIL 9th too! We are using a New Churches recreation room and having one massive shower! YAY! I'm so glad i recommened this idea to family, this way we have no rush and no little room squeeze effect.

Mine will be the weekend of Easter. We moved out of the area but our families are still there, so it's a great time to go back and see everyone and catch up with those that moved as well. I know how you feel though, it seems so far away!

My due date is May 9, and my shower is on April 3 (a Sunday). It was never really a choice because my sister lives overseas and will be back in the country for her FIL's wedding (lots of family pressure to attend) on April 2. So, she's going to fly back for that, get up the next morning, and fly up to my shower. It's a little close, and I probably wouldn't have picked a Sunday because I know it will be harder for some people to attend, but having my sister there will make it all worthwhile--even if it has to be super tiny! I'm not too worried about not having time after the shower to get things set up. I think I'll be happy to be consumed by baby stuff at that point.

Had one this past Sunday, and my other one is March 20th. I want to have everything set up, and my friends have busy periods at work in April and May - so all the better!

I am due May 3rd. My friends and family shower will be on March 26th (I will be almost 35 weeks). It was a toss up between that weekend and the first weekend in April. But I figured... the March weekend will give me 3 weeks until I am 38 weeks (which I consider the point in which I could go into labor-- although I know it could be any time). Plus, as a teacher, it gives me and DH a week of vacation to do returns, get the extra things we need, wash and clean and set up everything. I am also having a work shower... but I have no idea when it is.

I am due early May. I am then having two showers here - the third and fourth weekends of March. Our first shower is the last weekend in February. It is a 5 hour drive out of state. We also have a tentative snow date for this shower in early March, obviously if the roads are bad nobody wants us traveling - that's part of the reason this shower is being held so early. We already have a couple different things going on the first half of April, so that wouldn't have worked for us.

My first shower is February 20th. My second shower is TBA, but we're looking at March 19th as a possibility. But we're also having twins and will probably deliver by April 21st, so that was the rationale for having my first shower so early.

My MIL is throwing one on Feb 27 and my mom is throwing one on March 19th. Work is throwing one too, but I am not sure when. Probably late March/ early April. I think my OOT relatives are doing something too, but not sure the details since I can't travel there??
