We use Oragel Nighttime formula, our pedi says as long as we use it sparingly its perfectly safe and we do find that it gives some relief. Also, try giving your LO a wet washcloth, DS loves that more than any teething toy.

We use the Hylands teething gel also, but at night we use a natural remedy called Camilia. It's got similar ingredients to the old teething tabs but is in liquid form. Seems to work well for her.
we use little teethers teething gel. we had tried orajel but LO absolutely hated it and screamed every time we put it on. little teethers soothes the gums but they also don't choke when they eat, i guess because it doesn't numb the throat.

Re: Teething gel?
I have only used Hyland's Teething Gel because it doesn't have a numbing agent. Baby Orajel can cause LO's to choke because it numbs their throat.
Have you tried anything else for relief?
I have heard good things about Camilla as well but I haven't used it myself yet.
We use baby oragel, we careful not to use too much and get it right on her gums - it works well until the tylenol kicks in!
