I need new inserts!

Now that my baby is too big for our newborn fitteds we have been using our stash of pocket dipes (mostly BG's) for both her and my 2 year old. I'm running out of inserts since we double stuff for naps and night times with both kids. We're on an extremely tight budget and I need help figuring out the cheapest way to get more inserts. Can I make them? What fabric is best? Will the Gerber cloth dipes from Target work?

I've never tried the Gerber diapers, but you could use microfiber towels that are sold in the automotive section. They are pretty cheap. You could also buy old towels at Goodwill and cut them up, or use prefolds if you have any.
