Boston Babies

price of Boston daycare???

I live in the Dorchester/Quincy area. I am looking into home daycare in the area was just quoted $75 a day(includes food) which equals roughly $450 a wk. Is that reasonable for this area? I know I could probably find lower but don't want to compromise a comfortable placement to save a lot of money. Your thoughts?

Re: price of Boston daycare???

  • In the Reading/Wakefield/Melrose area 5 days/wk of infant care is between $1500-$1800 in a center.  We didn't look at in-home care, so I am not certain what those costs are.

  • $75 is about the average daily price for in-home daycare here in Brighton.  All of the in-home care I looked at in our area ranged from $70 to $80, most with meals provided.  We were paying $70 for a no-meal home situation until recently when the program was downsized, we now pay $80 for a center (that provides meals).

  • I live in Quincy and LOVE our in-home daycare. They cost $250 a week until LO turns two, then it's $200 a week. They also include all food/snacks, except formula

Email me if you want any info about them:
