Cloth Diapers are the devil!

Which is what I was told all weekend long on my trip. Every time I went to change my son's diaper my SIL was right behind me telling me how CDs are the worse thing to put on a baby. That they cause horrible rashes, they are a hassle because you have to constantly check them cause you have no idea when they peed, and if they did pee you have to change them right away. They are way more filthier then disposables and on and on and on.

But could I fight back NOOO, every time I went to open my mouth she would turn around and tell me how she went to school to become a pediatrician, and is now a foot doctor, so she knows.

    That's funny, because my pedi tells me at every visit that cloth is better for their butts.  

    My friend was over the other day and I was holding her son (after a diaper change) and all I could smell was CHEMICALS from the spoises.  Yes cloth is bad.  

    Thank god my family is on board with the CDing and actually LOVE them.

    Lovely, I hate people like that.  They really need to get over themselves.  Sorry you had to deal with that junk.

    I would have told her if she should ever become incontinent we'll be sure to use disposables on her, since that's her preference.

    A friend had give me her open pack of disposables, which I haven't used. My MIL has been down on cloth, and I finally took scissors, cut a disposable open, and showed her what was inside. I think she's on my side now!

    BAHAHAHA! I literally almost fell out of my chair at work when I read this. How ridiculous. Did you start chasing her around with your evil distgusting cloth diapers? Because that's what I would have done.

    What I find funny is that all her in-laws that I met were so amazed that we used cloth.

    She probably thought she looked bad or you were upstaging her as a mom for caring what goes on your baby's bum so she had to put you down. People are so stupid and need to mind their own business. If she wants to put all those chemicals on her baby that's fine but I'll take natural fibers and chemically free for my baby anyday!

    I just look at people thoughtfully and say "Dioxins are awesome...I mean that's probably why the EPA hasn't declared a safe level of exposure - we just can't get enough!"
