I didnt look at the bump checklist but when I was at the hospital after having Lucas I needed Dh to run home and get me a fan. I was so sweaty hot, the air was the lowest it could go. I dont know if it was the meds due to the Csection or what, but it is going next time no question
Bring your own pillow. That's the one thing I wish I would have done. I packed the bare essentials: outfit for baby to come home in, pjs & sweats for me, flip flops, toiletries, boppy, Lanolin, laptop, charger, phone charger, phone, camera.
I brought hard candies to suck on for myself, since you can't eat in labor. Something to help keep my mouth moist in addition to the small amount of sugar was helpful.
Chapstick was also helpful. I swear I went though like a whole tube.
Before we left for the hospital, I packed a bunch of sandwiches for DH. He isn't the kind of guy that would have left me to go get food so I wanted to make sure there was enough for him to eat with us. We had lots of snacks for him as well.

Oh, Id bring a few outfits for the new little one just in case. We brought two, it was a good thing because we were changing Lucas before we left and he peed everywhere
We brought a 12 pack of soda for my DH and some snacks for him. He wasn't impressed with the cafeteria and vending machine soda and snacks can get expensive. We brought an extra outfit for baby and like PP he peed through the first.
Also we were able to take everything from the room that wasn't linens. Diapers, wipes, vaseline, pads, etc.

Totally agree. We already have my mini-fan in the car! I didnt look at list either, but DVD's are a good idea, in case of long labor, slippers, and snacks (really for after baby born.)
I just packed the bare essentials too. Honestly, I was in labor, I wasn't in the mood to watch movies or play games or anything. The tv in the room was sufficient enough. I did have my iPhone so I could browse facebook and such if I wanted to.
I made sure to have comfy clothes for me after delivery. We brought one set of newborn clothes for P and one set of 0-3 months because we had no clue how big she was going to be. She stayed in the hospital shirt and receiving blankets until we were ready to leave. P ended up being a good size baby (8 pounds 3 ounces) and fit into the newborn stuff just fine so we really only needed the one outfit.
We had the boppy and some other random things in the car but, honestly, the hospital had everything we really needed.
Oh, the most important thing for us was the camera!!!
There was a recent post about the hospital bag on this board, if only bump had a good search function.
I wish i brought light/short sleeved button down or zipper shirts, i brought a few hoodies and it was so hot in the room because LO had low temp, i was baking in them.
I wish we brought extra pillow for DH, they gave me all of the pillows to help to sit while breastfeeding and he ended up with none.
I didn't bring a towel and hospital one was tiny and gross.
I wish i brought extra pair of yoga pants, my icepack leaked and i ended up having to wear the gown again because i had nothing to change into
Things i couldn't have lived without: lanolin cream, cell phone, camera, toiletries
My DH ended up going home to sleep so he kept bringing stuff to the hospital that I needed, by the end of day 3 we had the room overflowing with all my crap :-)
