I'm working from home today, because we have ice/snow sticking to our roads right now. Of course the metroplex has a total of like 7 sand trucks. Grrr.
It's snowing but we only have maybe an inch. It's supposed to end soon. Schools didn't close so my nanny should be able to come today. I'm really hoping I can take DS #1 to his gym class. We're supposed to get the ice late tonight into tomorrow so he'll be cooped up all day tomorrow since I'm sure his pre-school will be cancelled. I need to get him out of the house today.
We're going to dodge this one....assuming the ice turns quickly to rain like they are currently predicting. We can't handle any more snow...we have 3 feet on the ground and 6-7 foot banks already.
We are iced in. I would much rather snow then ice but it's supposed to keep coming and refreeze tonight and turn to snow tomorrow. I watch another baby so we are going to no where the next few days!!!
It's completely iced over here. Of course DD and I would be home anyways but DH's a-hole boss is still making him come in. Grrrr, now I have to worry about him driving in it all day

Same here Irish. I saw on the news that Northern, IN is supposed to get up to a foot of snow. Ekk. We are not supposed to get any down here, just about 1.75 inches of ice.
Not yet. Possibly tomorrow though. We're supposed to get something like 16 inches, but they expect a lot of people to lose power because of the wind and ice.

DS and I aren't going anywhere for a few days. We are supposed to get 14 inches and it is already coming down fast. Our lake house that is 2.5 hours away is supposed to get 20+ inches. Looks like DH might be making a trip there if the power goes out. I'M READY FOR SUMMER!!!!
No snow yet - we are supposed to get 20 inches though. I think we are going to venture out to the grocery store now since we will most likely be snowed in for the next couple of days. MH is at work too - but should be home before it starts (he started at midnight).
Not snowed in yet! We got about 5 inches last night, and the rest of the storm is hitting this evening. We are suppose to get up to 20 inches! DH's night class and all classes tomorrow are already canceled!! (Now he knows how I felt when I got snow days when I taught before DD)
My poor dog can hardly go to the bathroom now the snow is up to her belly. (we have a lab!) Guess DH needs to plow her a path out there!

I was thinking that sounded exactly like where I am at, then looked over and saw you're in KS too. So ditto everything you said!

Not yet, but we will be tomorrow! We got about 3 inches or so over night, but we have a blizzard warning kicking in at 3pm today until 4pm tomorrow.
Up to 20 inches of snow in Chicago, and where we are is about 18inches predicted. 30 mph winds gusting to 50. DD and I weren't planning on much this week anyway, and now I'm really glad thats the case.
I am. I have a ton of stuff to grade, but I left it at school because the original forecast said this stuff was coming in midday today. I figured we'd have early dismissal and I could take it home with me. DH just went to work, even though I begged him not to. Apparently, they just got a lecture about calling in for weather. He's a social worker at a nursing home and someone's got to come in to care for the residents. I'm hoping he can get out early though, especially since his position is not vital.
Sidewalks were not, as I totally slipped and fell on my way into the office.
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!

Roads are icy where I am, but I had to brave it to get to work, I'm hoping that our boss lets us go early, it's not going to be a fun ride home tonight. DH is working from home, I'm jealous
Not yet, but we're waiting on it. We're supposed to get 1-2 feet by tomorrow...I'm excited to put E and M in their snowsuits and plop them down on the snow.
We got a dusting, and that is all. The temp outside with the wind chill though is around -27 here. I feel like we are getting the short end of the stick considering this is where the storm originated from. We have yet to get a significant snowfall this year, and that is very unusual for us.
1-2 feet here... on top of the two feet we already have one the ground! It would be a good day to go out in play in it with DS, but not when we are both sick.

Our office is closed, which never happens. No idea how the roads are, but the local media is in full on snowpocalypse mode.
I wouldn't care about getting snowed in, we can walk to a grocery store. But, I was supposed to leave today to go skiing in Park City, and of course all the flights are canceled. So, we're rebooked for tomorrow morning. Since I've rebooked the flight due to cancellations four friggin times now, I fully expect it to be canceled .
We're in the middle of a blizzard, and the governor has declared a state of emergency for the entire state. Practically everything in the city is closed, so DH is home from work. I have a lot of studying to do, but will most likely spend more time sewing or playing PC adventure games...hehe.
Re: So who's snowed in?
The roads are pure ice, but no snow yet.

Wow, that's a lot of snow.
Oh, that sucks. Tell your DH to get on that!

We hardly have any snow, but the temp is -13 and the wind chill is like -25 or something. So I plan on going exactly nowhere.
Plus, DH took my car today instead of his stick shift, since the roads are iffy.
