XP: Middle of the Night Pumping?

This is a really weird question, but it just dawned on me......do you get up and pump in the middle of the night even if your baby is sleeping?  Lena goes to bed around 8 PM and sleeps until 1:30 AM.  I get up to feed her at that time and she is down again until 7 AM.  Should I be getting up in between that feeding time to pump?  Should I pump between 1:30 AM and 7 AM when she get's up?  I didn't think so....I mean, if she's sleeping that long that's awesome and I should be doing the same, right?  When I get up at 1:30 AM and also at 7 AM I am pretty rock hard and starting to leak, but she's pretty hungry and nearly drains me.  What do you do?

I only ever pumped in the middle of the night once, I think. Maybe twice. Both of those times were right when he first started sleeping long stretches and I just couldn't stand the engorgement anymore. After a few days your body adjusts to the baby's schedule and so once my body got used to him sleeping longer at night, I wasn't waking up in pain anymore.

I never pumped in the middle of the night.  I'd just sleep when she sleeps and feed her when she wakes.  Your supply should adjust.

The only reason I got up to pump was because I needed the milk for during the day.  I rarely pumped enough for the next day's bottles while at work, so the night-time was when I made up for the rest.  If I didn't have that to worry about, I would have slept, for sure!

I've never pumped at night,  I like to sleep when DD sleeps!   It will take a while for your supply to adjust, you can hand express for comfort. I'm still adjusting to DD STTN !

This exactly!  We are a few weeks from 1 year and I will be switching over to whole milk.  I can't wait!
