Could use some thoughts and prayers for my Dad

My Dad's health has not been stellar for quite a while now. He has serious PAD that is not really treatable (he's has several bypass surgeries but it is still there). Yesterday his friends went to his house to take him to eat and decided to take him to the hospital. When I arrived he looked like he was on his death bed. He was yellowish gray and fading in and out of consciousness. I found out he had gotten an "extremely elevated" level for his prostate back in September but he thought there was a "typo" so he went to another urologist but supposedly he never called him with the results so he figured everything was fine.....
After an hour or so of lying down his color and lucidity came back a bit but the Drs determined he needed a blood transfusion....(the reasons people need blood transfusions all seem consistent with liver/kidney disease and cancer). I stayed until the hooked up the second pack of blood at 2:30 and I am getting ready to head back and hope to get some answers on why he is "losing" blood-- and am praying it is something "treatable" or even completely fixable. So, I'd appreciate any thoughts and prayers you can spare.
I just started my first shot of lupron today, so so much for having a low stress IVF cycle.....

LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).

I'm sorry you and your Dad are going through this. I know from personal experience that dealing with a parent with serious illness is a very difficult thing to go through. Huge hugs!
