Had my first internal appt. and GBS test this morning

Nothing exciting to report. My cervix is still completely closed and the baby is high but head down. I've heard horror stories of the first internal exam in the last few weeks of pregnancy and how uncomfortable it is, but I didn't think it was bad at all.

I called my mom afterward and told her about my appointment and about the GBS test. Her response "oh, is that when they test for herpes?". Tongue Tied

The last time she gave birth was 32 years ago, so I won't be too hard on her.

I feel the same way. Not sure what other people's doctors do to make it so uncomfortable? It seriously confuses me.

I don't get it either! My internal was not painful and lasted all of 30 seconds. I had mine this week and had no progress of any sort either. Oh well..

I had my first internal wed and it was SO painful! I guess every doctor is different. I hope they don't do that at every appt! I'm about the same tho, cervix softening and baby high, but breeched.
