Weird FB messages

Yesterday I got a FB chat from cousin's DH. His account had clearly been hacked, he said they were on vacation, were mugged, and needed money. I let them know about it and ignored the chat - once I figured out it wasn't real. Last night, DH got status updates form some guy he doesn't know, and this morning someone commented on a picture of mine, and I'm not friends with her. I thought random people couldn't see or comment on your pics unless you're friends with them?

    Sounds like you need to check your privacy settings.

    I would check your privacy settings. FB keeps changing how they work, so they may not be as tight as you once had them.

    And the hacker thing sucks. Someone hacked my account using the same scam this past fall, I spent at least a month getting in touch with people and answering messages telling them it was a scam and I wasn't stranded in a foreign country with no money.

    Oh, wow. That's a new one.

    I've been saying away from FB lately. It's been pissing me off more than entertaining me.

    I got a fb chat from someone I hadn't talked to in years.  I knew what it was and I was trying to screw with them, but they signed offline really quickly.  

    When it comes to the other things, idk.

    He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be.  He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.

    Sigh... I thought I had my privacy settings to friends only, but apparently pictures are friends of friends, so that explains it.
