Call your insurance and ask them if they cover it. I have Aetna and they will only cover one if you have a premie and need to pump and bring in milk. Once the baby is discharged, they stop paying for it. Most Durable Medical Equipment is covered 100% by my insurance, but my insurance does not consider it DME.
I know some people have co-pays. Knowing my insurance wouldnt cover one, I took advantage of the target deal.

For my insurance, we can purchase whichever pump we want and we can get reimbursed for part of the cost up to either $50 or $100 (I forget which one...although I bet it is on the smaller side). The catch is that while we can purchase the pump before the baby is born, we cannot put the claim into the insurance company until after she arrives.
