Due to some ammonia stink issues, I've been using 1/4 to 1/2 cup of vinegar in our rinse cycles. I thought this was fine and had read up before I did in on a few blogs that have been recommended here and are generally known.
It came up with some women in my new mom's group, though, that apparently it can effect the water repelling for PUL. I know it's an acid, but I thought a small amount was fine. But the Green Mountain site does mention this issue.
Is a little in each wash ok? Should I be cutting back and using more occasionally?
While frequent changes and a little stink is fine at home, we CD at daycare and I do worry a bit that if she needs to change him a lot more or deal with ammonia smells that she might be hesitant to continue. In general I try to make sure her experience is SUPER easy and as pleasant as possible. So I'd like to keep using it unless I'm really running a risk of damage.
