Dr Bowen/Dr. Wall

Hi there,

I was supposed to have my 16 week appt today with Dr Bowen, but he had emergency surgery and they called me to reschedule. The soonest appt was tomorrow, but with Dr Wall. I took it as I don't wanna get off schedule in my appts, but wondered if anyone has any experience with Dr Wall? Is he as easy going as Dr Bowen?

    I've had 2 appointments with Dr. Bowen and have my first with Dr. Wall on Feb 11.  I have not seen him as a patient yet, but I did work with him several times while he was doing residency at Bethesda North.  He was very compassionate towards his patients and very thorough.  I am a member of a Cincy Homebirth group and many of them see Dr. Bowen for parallel care.  I've paid close attention to all the conversations about Dr Wall.  I have gotten mixed reviews, and some people have said that he can be pretty abrasive with some comments and speaking before he thinks about it, so take what he says with a grain of salt (mostly in regards to home birth or alternative medicine).  I'm honestly a little nervous to see him but know that I need to because it's definitely possible for him to be at my birth.  I am planning a natural birth in the hospital at this point.

    Thanks! I'm nervous about mentioning my homebirth, but want to get to know him as well as Dr Bowen. I went to the Cincy Homebirth group for the 1st time last Sunday. Were you there? Your pic is tiny and there was a good crowd there so I'm not sure I could recognize anyone. It was nice to talk to many like-minded people and my husband was happy to meet several other Dads.

    I have not been to any meetings, I just am a member of the online community and find it an invaluable resource for great information!  I'm I guess about 90% sure we'll do a hospital delivery, but I think I would still like to come to the meetings to hear more info in person.
