@galentine Yay!! They really are the best, it's a game changer when you put them on the first time!
As for me, I'm sitting here on back to back conference calls trying not to get annoyed by the sounds of my husband and FIL in our basement framing out our unfinished area. We have to finish it out because between my office and the nursery we'll no longer have a guest room. I'm super excited for the finished product but on Day 4 of the noise it's starting to get old!

@emily1052 after an awkward pause I was like “okay...I’ll talk to my doctor about it” How do you even respond to that?? lol
@steminist I’ve had issues with dairy ever since my last pregnancy. I’ve been having some here and there but it’s hard to say if it causes issues since I’ve been nauseous, but assume it’s morning sickness? I guess I should probably wait until the MS passes. But I miss dairy 😩
In-laws received the cards this weekend, so we skyped them while they scratched them off. Multiple gems came out of our 20 minute Skype sesh:
-MIL proceeded to tell me I could find out the "gender" of the baby by peeing on some solution of baking soda and....(not sure what else because I was tuning her out at this point, as FIL started scratching his card off behind her while she was babbling. I can't believe he didn't wait!! 😳) Nevermind that I already know the sex (not gender!) due to an actual blood test. No peeing on weird solutions required.
-MIL finds out it's a girl and says, "It's not a boy?! Oh, that's ok, you'll just have to have another."
-MIL says, "Oh look, I'm wearing pink! I guess I should have worn blue...."
-MIL asked AGAIN if this pregnancy was "expected"
Y'all. I seriously deserve an award or something because I didn't say a single unkind word. I may have had this look on my face few times, though. Ok, maybe the whole time.

If we have another girl someday, I'll have to remind MIL of the kindergarten mantra, "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit."
Is it just me, or is Oct BMB a little heavy on girls so far??
I totally agree on the BMB thing. I actually thought we must be having a boy since the scales were tipping so far for the girls in that thread! (Crazy theory I know.)
I know my H would have been excited for a boy too, but he has been super adorable since he found out it's a girl. He's been telling me he wants to learn how to tie a ponytail, and he started a list of projects/things he wants to make for a daughter, like a dollhouse shaped bookshelf. And we were rewatching The Office (as per our usual 😂) and the "take your daughter to work day" episode came on..... let's just say someone in our house got very misty eyed and said, "I'm going to get to do that with our daughter!" (And spoiler alert... it wasn't me!) Be still my heart! 💖
