Do I have to dump this bottle?

So, B was sick today and didn't want to eat.  I have a bottle leftover that she didn't touch--it has been the fridge all day.  It is 5oz BM pumped yesterday and 2oz formula from one of those little travel bottles that was opened yesterday morning.  I know if it was all BM it would be fine, but I'm not 100% sure how it works with formula.  Anyone?  I'd hate to toss 5oz of BM unnecessarily . . .

  • I'd use it.

I thought it was 48 hours. FWIW, I'd use it.

  • I think it would be fine. I'd probably use it. I'd hate to waste the BM.
It was many and many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know By the name of ANNABEL LEE; And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker image BFP: 9/24/11 EDD: 6/5/12 Natural MC: 11/6/11
  • I'm no help on the formula part but I hope you don't have to dump it.  I would cry!  I swear it's like liquid gold. Hope Betsy is feeling better!

    Thank you!  Me, too!

  • OK, so the general consensus seems to be that if I use it tonight, it's fine.

I usually just give her the boob when I'm at home.  I dreamfeed her at around ten.  Is there any reason to think that a dreamfeeding with a bottle will not go as smoothly as a nursing dreamfeed?

Now that L is exclusively bottle-fed her BM, I dreamfeed her lying right in her crib. She latches right on the nipple and drinks like a pro! You shouldn't have an issue.

Aw, but then we can't snuggle!  Not sure I can give up sleepy baby snuggles.

And when did you start EP?  And why didn't I know that? Awareness fail.
