Banned from grocery shopping

So today I went to the grocery store, by myself, hungry and what did I buy?

Spaghettios, Sponge Bob Mac N' Cheese, Oreo's, Activia Yogurt, 100 calorie pack, dried fruit, uncrustables, milk and one chocolate sprinkled doughnut.

Then I came home to my husband asking me what we were going to have for dinner...I looked in my bag of junk food and responded with "Sponge Bob Mac n' cheese?"

Yup. My husband officially banned me from going grocery shopping until I can come home with real meals. Oops!

Hahaha! Oopsie! I try to never go grocery shopping when I'm hungry but that's almost impossible now that I'm pregnant. Uh, so a large tub of hummus and pita bread always find their way into my basket. Embarrassed

Ha ha, that's too funny! I do the same thing. I buy lots of fruit and sugary cereal (been seriously craving Trix and Lucky Charms) but nothing for dinner. Hence why we went to Sizzler for dinner last night, there was nothing in the house to eat!

You cat is so fluffy! I'm a dog person now but grew up with cats and your picture really makes me want to get a cat again.

Hahaha... I did the same thing the other day. I came back with sour patch kids, red licorice, 4 doughnuts, and mac and cheese. DH opened the pantry and said "wow... I love pregnancy cravings!" Big Smile

what is it with us and donuts? the other day i wanted one so bad, i was almost drooling. i went and got it and man, it was sooo good.

Haha I should try this! Maybe then it'll get me out of grocery shopping.

Although, I do keep coming home with more and more different kinds of granola and very little dinner food. Maybe I'm on my way!

I haven't had spaghettios in years but that sounds amazing right now!! I too have been getting very random stuff, including lots of pudding (which I haven't eaten with regluarity since I packed a lunch for school) for some reason.....I tell myself it's okay because it has milk in it Smile

I have been a bad shopper lately too. I keep buying so many carbs! Cereal, mac and cheese, pasta... it's all I want to eat. And cheese. I buy yogurt and fruit and have to force myself to eat it. It totally turns me off, but I know carbs and cheese don't make a healthy diet! I am surprised I haven't gained weight yet.

I could have so posted this!!! Went to the store today hungry and this pretty much sums up my cart:

Sugar cookies, fruit roll ups (haven't had these since I was a kid), hot dogs (I saw all of the posts below about hot dogs and had to buy some...but now that I think of it, I didnt buy buns....CRAP), pizza rolls, and some bananas....

The bananas cancel everything out. No one can tell me other wise. Big Smile

Same here. I'm all about the carbs especially when I have m/s. I'm going to really try to buy more proteins like cheese, yogurt, and tofu when we go shopping this weekend.
