Your fav hand breast pump

With ds I needed a pump for engorgement and a couple times when I was sick and the meds were not safe to bf with. My aunt gave me a playtex electric one and today she siad that I am not to give it away to a friend or any other shop or such she wants it back. Umm ok? I had wanted to get a hand pump anyways for above mentioned uses. Soo before I give hers back which should i go get?

I was kinda looking at medela harmony and dr bronners I think it was.

Re: Your fav hand breast pump

  • I have the Medela hand pump.  I use it when I don't want to drag my electric pump when we're going to be out all day.  I like it for what it is.

FWIW, I had the small Playtex one and it HURT like crazy.  I chucked it.

  • I have the medela one and it works well, doesn't hurt.  I actually get more out with my medela hand pump than with my medela PISA
  • Ditto Medela.  The hand pump works really well for me.  If I didn't manage to get Mastitis nearly every time I pump, I'd use it a lot more often.
  • Ditto Medela. ?

  • I got a medela one from the hospital.  It was a kit for the hospital pump I used while there, and then it converted into a hand pump to take home.  It worked great for small jobs.  I think the one you mentioned looks like a much better version than what I had.

  • Avent Isis! I ordered my PISA online so I had to use a handpump for a few days...it is SUCH a great little pump and it really works well. It is a bit more expensive than the Medela pump, but I would buy it again.
  • I have the Avent Isis. I like it. Why can't you just use your aunt's electric one until you're done bfing? why do you need to return it now?

  • I've got a medela harmony and I like it even though I think pumping is a big pain in the behind!

  • She just kept going on and on about giving it back to her and such. It just dosent seem worth her going on about it every time I see her. The reviews on it are also horrible. She bought it for her grandsons GF, which took out the nipples for the bottles so my aunt couldnt return it. Originally I had wanted to just get a handpump to have on hand.
  • I have the Medela Harmony too.  It's a good little pump!
  • The Harmony... except I upgraded to the Swing ( single electric) because its sooo much easier.
  • I like the Harmony.  It's nice and small and portable for emergencies :)
  • I love my Medela Harmony.?
