Re: What baby names do you like?

  • not going to happen, but I'll play:

    girl - adelaide (family name)

    boy - nicholas (family name)

I also love davis and owen, two names that were in the running if ginny had been a boy. what's VERY odd is that my fab RE is owen davis (total coincidence!)

We'd like to have 1 more kiddo and we already have him/her named!  :)

    Girl - Sara Elizabeth

    I am Sara Elizabeth. :-)

One of my girls middle name is Elizabeth and the other one is Rose (the official flower of CF foundation since DH has CF). :-)

  • Our twin boy names were going to be Nathan (nate) and Seth.

If we ever have anymore girls. We like Hannah, Anna and Leah.

  • If we have a Girl.. Rebecca Haber..Becca for short.. Haber is my mothers maiden name..another boy.. I love Henry still..and also Love Elenor for a girl..

This kid will surely have no name.  I read the baby name board, the tri boards, even this thread - and can't connect with any of them.  So many names I see now seem to be "trendy".  And I feel like we hit the jackpot with Sam (given the combo with the last name), and it will be hard to come up witha similarly cool sounding name  -again - not that Sam is so creative, but with the last name it's pretty rad :)

We had a girl name but now it seems boring.  I really don't know what we'll do!

    A) LOVE your new sig pic!

    B) Now you totally have me curious about your last name :)  (But I'm not asking!!)  We also love DS's name, and feel like it adds extra pressure to "get it right" with this one!  Fwiw, I've always loved Sam.  It reminds me of Max, which is probably my all-time favorite.  Too bad for me that we already named our dog that :)

haha :)  Sam's last name is the name of both a famous type of cowboy hat, and a cheap dimestore cologne.  One particular challenge is that it starts with an S so any first name that ends in an -s sounds weird.  And, it ends with -son, so any name like Mason, Ethan, Owen, etc, all sound too sing songy.  It's a great last name, but surprisingly tricky to pair!

  • Well, I am sure this baby is another boy and it will not have a name. Maybe we will just name him "boy" Lol! I like several boy names, but DH is being a pain. Here are my favs:

Boys: Chase, Ryan, Ethan, Seth, Bennett, Benjamin, Cooper

Girls: Alexa, Mia, Ava, Alana, Elyse

  • I won't share our top boys name because I am weird like that, but it just about set in stone if this a boy. It's a family name from Ireland, but not common here at all.

I LOVE Owen for a boy and there is an Owen in every generation of Sean's family dating back to the 1800's, but I like it less now that it has become so popular. It's weird because I love many of the names on the top names list, but I would never use them, if that makes sense.

Other girl's name contenders when Eliza was born:

    Maeve

    Fiona

    Molly

Margaret (Maggie) - it's Sean's mom's name and an all time fave of mine, but my MIL named her dog maggie - yes after herself -and I CANNOT get past that now...

    Natalie

    Aoife

    Vivienne

Love your names!  I love Fiona and Molly but DH does not.  Natalie is one of DH's faves, but I instinctively sing the Facts of Life theme song whenever I hear it :)

I know a little Vivienne - her nn is Via.  Super cute!

  • We're not having any more kids, but I like this game anyway ;)

If we'd had another boy in our triplet mix the name would have been Benjamin Joseph. Benjamin was literally the ONLY other boy name we liked/agreed on.

If we'd had another girl, she would have been Julia. We never thought of a middle name. I also really like the name Lydia, but Joe hated it. Julianna was a front runner when I was pregnant, but Joe loved the name Annaleigh so much that we went with that instead.

  • If I have a girl, her name will almost certainly be Natalie, middle name TBD, possibly Claire or Elyse -- preferably something French.

Boy... I have no idea. We had such a hard time coming up with DS's name.

Thanks!! Too funny because I can't/couldn't get Dh on board with Fiona or Molly either and his fave is Natalie which I am only luke warm to!
