How long is BM good for out of the fridge?

newly expressed milk? I've been having supply issues for months since my period came back, we've been on day to day milk with little or no frozen stash for at least a month or two, sometimes I'll get 10-20oz frozen but then its used when my period comes back and my supply tanks. Well yesterday I forgot to put the milk in the fridge when I came home from work. It sat in my pump bag from midnight to 1pm the next day when I put it back in my car to go to school/work... then I realized it was there and threw it in the fridge. It doesn't smell, it smells just like regular BM. My usual motto is when in doubt throw it out but if I throw it out I have to go buy formula, he's never had formula before! I have zero in my freezer stash currently, I've been pumping after every session today since I found out but I have only gotten 2oz.

Was it in a cooler in your bag? If so, I think it might be ok. Typically the rule is 8 hours at room temp

Heather no it was just in the bag part of my pump... I started putting it all in one container so I stopped using a cooler. I put a call into a friend who is a LLL contact so hopefully she'll tell me but I have a bottle of formula just incase. Hopefully I'll pump more before bed and then tomorrow before I leave so hopefully I'll have enough milk for them to make half and half bottles. :-( I feel like such a failure right now even if it's only for one day!
