S/O to bleeding and pads...

Do you need thick pads the whole time you are bleeding? A lot of peole say they bled for 4-5 weeks. Is it heavy the whole time? Just wondering if I need some heavy pads and maybe some lighter ones as well?

I was heavy at the hospital but as soon as I got home it resided. I have actually stopped bleeding but I do still bleed from where I tore. I would buy a multi pack of pads. They give you huge ones at the hospital, too.

With DD it was only heavy for a week or so, and then it was a lot lighter for another couple of weeks.

I also bled heavy at the hospital but it became a lot lighter once I got home.

Like PP it changed, I needed the BIG hospital ones for about 5 days, then the night times at home for another few days, then the white discharge tinged pink but turned red after BFing etc for a few weeks, it slowly tapers off to a heavy white discharge. And can be off and on.
