Babies: 3 - 6 Months

ahh a daddy epiphany

I came home from work yesterday and finally.. DH admitted it! Taking care of a baby for a full day is a hard job and now understands why I didn't always have time to clean the house, do the laundry and have dinner on the table when he got home! VICTORY!!!! Big Smile

  • I had the opposite happen.  DH has been home with the baby for 2 weeks and he rocks at getting housework done and always cooks when I get home.  I don't know how he does it - honestly.

Although, one of his friends is also unemployed right now so maybe he comes over and helps with the babe?

I feel like a loser! But he did admit that it was difficult so that is a victory.

  • LOL.  I purposely take forever when I run baby-less errands or the gym so that DH realizes that it's not all that easy to keep up.  I manage, but there are times I can't make dinner because Alec decided it's time to nurse for 3 hours, or whatever.

You are probably correct.  Also, he doesn't have a love for bad television either, lol

For some reason DD sleeps pretty much the whole time EVERY time DH is alone with her!!! Lucky sh*t!!  He probably thinks it's a breeze!

Mrs.M317 - I love the fail picture, so cute!! I feel the pain, my DD was given a Patriots cheerleading outfit for xmas this year for when they went to the Superbowl.. doh!! Jinxed!!! It is 3-6 months, so I don't know that she will ever be wearing this, maybe just once for a picture.

  • DH has DD alone for 9 hours a day, 5 days a week (we work opposite shifts).  While she naps a good portion of this, he will complain that he is tired from being with her all day, whether he works that evening or not.  So I tell him, NOW you get it!  He gave me such a hard time while I was on leave.  Now he finally understands and doesn't complain if I don't get the dishes or laundry done while he is at work.  Thank goodness!!!

  • I was called lazy for 16 weeks. DH works from home on Tuesdays and at first I was home taking care of her. Then I started back to work and the first 2 weeks she would take long naps for h im or he would go to his parents and have them help. I keep telling him he just got lucky, he kept telling me I'm just lazy. He finally expierence it. By the time i got home he didn't know what to do anymore. I was back on mommy duty, cleaning dirty diapers, pumping, feeding and cleaning up the kitchen from his meal that day. Oh well, at least he gets it now.
