I am looking to buy a movement monitor for my premie baby. He came into this world at 35 weeks on January 6th. He currently sleeps in a basinnet with us in the room and he groans and seem to have a breathing problem during his sleep. Either that or we think he might have allergies. This worries me, so I am thinking of buying a movement monitor to make sure he does not get sleep apnea.
If you have a movement monitor or know which one works the best, please let me know which one you recommend. I am torn between AngelCare, Bebesound, etc...
What do you think of this? The only criteria I have is that it plugs into an electrical outlet instead of battery operated.
Re: Movement monitor for my premie
Many people do like the Angelcare monitor.
Have you spoken with your pediatrician at all?
I don't know much about preemies, but I do know that normal newborns are VERY noisy sleepers. They also have irregular breathing patterns and can appear to stop breathing for long periods of time.
