Hi there, next week would have been my nephew's first birthday. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a gift idea for my brother and his wife. TIA

    maybe dedicate something in his name or make a donation to a charity in his name.

    Honestly, just a card and recognizing the birthday should be enough. If you wanted to get them flowers or a tree they could plant in honor of their son, i'm sure that they'd love it.  (((hugs))) to your brother and SIL.

    .... oh! Just remembered. Someone gave us a star certificate in Aurora's name. I love it, and it's framed on my wall.

    It's really great that you want to do something.  Have they started a fund of any kind?  We started a fieldtrip fund with a local non-profit in our son's name.  If so, a contribution to that would be nice.  A tree would be neat, depending on if that would work in their climate.  A card and maybe a gift certificate for a dinner out would be awesome.
