IVF ladies - when do you start monitoring?

Looking at my calendar....I go in for my first monitoring appointment on day 6 of stims (I am on Long Lupron). The only other time I have actually met my RE was 5 weeks ago at my AFC ultrasound. Does this sound normal to you? I had so many more monitoring appointments w/ my injects/IUIs.

    My first u/s was after 4 days of stims. Then I had 3 more for cycle #1 and 2 more for cycle #2. sounds ok to me!

    I had my "baseline" at the beginning of December and started BCP after that. Then, the day after I took my last BCP, I went in for my suppression check. Then I started stims a few days later and went in for my first monitoring appointment on stims day 5. Then back again on stims day 9 and 10. Back again the next day (what would have been stims day 11) and I triggered that night.

    I don't know the whole thing is confusing to me.  I start Lupron on 1/28, last bcp is 2/1,Cetrotide (in place of Ganerelix) starts on 2/4.  I got in for my baseline US & E2 on 2/7 and then according to my calendar I don't go back for another US and E2 for 2 weeks on 2/21.  I start Gonal F on 2/14 and Menopur on 2/17.  It seems like I am going to be on meds forever compared to some people!

    Diagnosis: DOR and MFI-low everything IVF #1 = triplets! 2 girls and a boy! Born Sept 29, 2011 at 32w6d due to Pre-e and HELLP syndrome Lilypie First Birthday tickers

    Is a suppression check bloodwork??

    My first monitoring appointment was after 4 days of stimming.
    After 3 years of infertility we were blessed with twin girls through private infant adoption.

    I don't remember the exact day I first went in, but it was something like that.  It does seem like a long time, but don't worry you're on higher doses for IVF and that makes for more follies, not bigger ones faster.  There isn't much to see before then.  GL!

    I had a baseline u/s and b/w 4 days before starting stims with IVF #1 and 2 days before starting stims with IVF #2.  I then went in for my first monitoring appointment on day 7 or 8 of stims.

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

    FET#1:  BFN

    Ohhh..I gotcha. Thanks! I responded so fast on my Follistim IUIs...that I started to get nervous. :)?

    My baseline was 5 days before starting stims. Then I went in on day 4 of stims, day 6, day 8, and day 12 (triggered on day 12). I think I was in more than the average person.
