So my boyfriend has recently (well for a coupl of months now, since he put on weight really) has started to snore so bad that I am wearing earplugs at night because I HATE IT! I hate loud sudden noises, and sometimes he's quiet then all of the sudden -BOOM!
So I was thinking we have the babys crib in our bedroom, on my side and I am wondering WTF is going to happen when I put the baby down to sleep and he wakes him up with his snoring!!! I will freak!
I am wondering if anyone else has dealt with this? I mean maybe we will have to put the baby in the livingroom, or my boyfriend!!!
Or how about any tips for anti snoring for him! LOL
ANYTHING!
Not looking forward to this situation!
Re: Baby in same room + snoring hubby!! >:(
Well if he loses the weight, it will definitely help. Maybe try a humidifier as it's pretty dry in the winter. He could see an ENT and have a sleep study. If he's diagnosed with sleep apnea then his insurance will cover treatment, which can be very expensive otherwise. Hopefully when faced with banishment to the couch he'll try to do something about it.
Also from what I've heard, newborns are pretty loud sleepers, too, so you're probably the one who's in for the worst of it, not LO.
Well good news is if he snores regularly the baby will probably just be used to it HOWEVER the sudden bursts of snores might startle your little one so you'll wanna make sure they are swaddled as you'll have better luck with them staying asleep if swaddled during a snorefest.
We live DIRECTLY next to train tracks that blare their whistles at all hours of the night. You don' t know how much sleep I lost worrying over the train waking up the baby and both my kids just were accustomed to it from what seemed like day one I dunno if they got used to it from hearing it in utereo or what never once did they wake up and believe me the train is far worse than snoring. Sometimes it sounds like the darn thing is derailing into our backyard.
I agree with pp... if LO has been hearing it now then he should be used to it. Although random loud bursts of snoring do sound a little frightening!!!
Well he isn't here yet, so he would be hearing it inside my tummy, which would make it muffled. LOL
I mean maybe I am exagerating a bit with sudden bursts. LOL But either way, it's annoying and I hate it! I'm tired of earplugs!
Thanks for the advice, hopefully baby is used to it from hearing inside me and will be ok!
