  Yes they are! Mine was determined there were two.  We even made a bet on it, when we saw just one he had to go get me Little Cesaer's breadsticks. It's a 30 min drive!

  My H asks me after every u/s (he hasnt been able to come to one yet) "there's only one in there right?"

  I tell him there is another hiding behind the first all the time. hehehehe! I like to watch him go pale at the thought.

  hehe I know what you mean.  I kept telling DH that with our luck we would end up having quads or something like that.  The face he gives me is priceless.

  My DH always tells me we are having two...especially when I point out how much my belly is growing. We haven't had an ultrasound yet, but it's highly unlikely. Twins don't run in my family or his....but who knows! We'll find out in a few weeks!

  Even after he came to our U/S and we have the pic of just the one. He keeps saying that the other one is hiding behind the other one or even behing my liver.  I tell him he's nuts and give him a hug.  But he is still very sure that there is another LO hiding in my belly somewhere.

  Boys are cute.

  We got the surprise news of 2! Identical twins aren't genetic, so... maybe? But I promise you, they found our two without much effort. Tell DH to be glad at how much less money you'll be spending. It's so overwhelming!!

  you know, twins are rampant on both sides of my family (MIL is an identical twin) but prior to our pregnancy we spoke to a geneticist who told us twins aren't technically hereditary and that identical twins are a birth defect of sorts. i was sooo bummed because i desperately wanted two babies. my dad was convinced there were two in there but we only have one. my husband said he'd pee his pants if there had been two, lol.
