Amazingly, my baby survived all the other stuff coming out. My cervix is closed, although I am still bleeding, it is getting darker. (Good Sign) My Dr. has now put me on full bed rest with no sitting up unless going to the bathroom or eating. I have already been taking it easy for like 6 weeks! I will go back in to see her next Monday to see how things are doing again.
I know alot of you suggested going to the ER but I have a few reasons why I didnt. #1)I live in the inner city and the ER's are creepy. #2) I didnt want to spend 8 hours there waiting for someone to see me and also #3) this is my third time having heavy bleeding. I just mainly wanted to see my Dr at this early point in my pregnancy. If I had gone into contractions or had pain- I would have gone to the ER. #4)Also, Mom is a nurse and she was there with me. Way prior to pregnancy, I have been to the ER about 4/5 times for random other issues and had an average wait of probably 6 hours. This is going to different hospitals. I didnt have a good experience needless to say.
I appreciate everyones well wishes and prayers. It really does help. Because I havent made my pregnancy widely known, and only a few people know I am having a high risk pregnancy at this point. There arent many people who I can share my concerns with. Words cant really express my gratitude to everyone here.

Cara,
I know I'm just a stranger on a message board, but I am SO glad to hear your update. Yesterday must have been incredibly scary. I'm sending you my thoughts and prayers for a continued healthy pregnancy and renewed optimism!
I just posted asking about you
I'm glad things look good, your silence had me worried.
so glad to hear everything's alright
Sounds like you have a fighter growing in there. I am VERY happy to hear that baby is ok. T&Ps are still with you.
Love & luck to my 3TC girls. Congrats to Omega-The boys are here!
If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.

I have been waiting for your update and I am so glad it is a good one. I do understand why you did not go to the ER, and I probably would have done the same thing in your situation. I too have had an episode of heavy bleeding with this pg and it gives me a lot of hope to see your status. Good luck and take it easy.
How long do you have to be on bed rest? Do they have any idea what is causing the bleeding?
Thank you everybody!
Yes it is a subchorionic hematoma. Dr had told me I had it early on but then she thought everything had healed up at my appt last Thursday. She had still cautioned me to avoid standing, walking alot etc. Obviously, it hadnt healed and came out. I dont know how long the bed rest thing will be but I dont expect it to be very long. Maybe a week or 2? I really dont have a clue.
I am very happy with bedrest, the alternative would have been a miscarriage. Although I'm mentally drained, I am elated my pregnancy is progressing forward. Also, my 2 cats will be super happy that I will be laying down all the time. One is already taking advantage by laying with me on the couch now!
I just jumped off the couch for you! I am SOO incredibly happy. Please keep us up to date on your progress.
::HUGS:: for you and your miracle baby.
