I just got my trial and I washed all the pockets inserts, but left out the unbleached indian prefold, the kissaluvs marvel AIO and the soaker to the grovia shell per instructions (I am assuming maybe they have hemp).   As I was organizing the diapers and putting them away I realized I was missing some things.  One of the BG inserts, one half of the Thirsties insert and one of the bleached chinese prefolds must have been stuck to the top of the washer and I didn't see them when I took everything out (I have a front load) and they got washed with that stuff.  Have I ruined things before I even started?!

    Probably not.  Separating items is more of a precaution than anything.  I'd prep them a few more times to make sure the oils disappear and then use them.

    Thanks Pixy. I just threw them in again and am washing with an additional rinse.  Is there a way to test them to see if they repel?  I guess on the positive side none of the covers, pockets or AIOs were in there.

    Drip a few drops of water on them.  If the water beads and rolls off, they're repelling.  If it soaks in, then they're fine.

    This won't be true of the prefold, though, because it takes 6-8 washes before they're fully prepped.
